After success with two other world-first underwater projects in the Maldives, we were approached to work on another world first for the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island resort. The project, Muraka, was a US$15 million two-story hotel villa, the lower part of which would sit around 5m below the surface of the Indian Ocean.
In March 2016, Jacksons undertook a services renewal of the Hastings District Council’s Civic Building, to replace all air conditioning, lighting and electrical services. Work was to be staged, one floor at a time, so as to provide minimal disruption to the 180 occupants of the building.
We were tasked with designing the mechanical services for another underwater restaurant in the Maldives – our second of this nature and the largest to date!
