Wahoo — we won!!

Jacksons win FMANZ Service Provider of the year award 2020

We’re excited to announce Jacksons is the winner of the 2020 Facility Management Association of NZ (FMANZ) “Service Provider of the Year” award.

We were up against some incredible businesses in this category with some impressive projects behind them so we were a bit flabbergasted to win. But we think the reason we took out the title is because we truly care about the FM sector and make sure we do what we can to make their (really tough) jobs easier.

We often underplay the impact of what we do, but the facts are:

  • 80% of tenant complaints are HVAC related
  • 40% of energy use in a building is HVAC

So the impact we can have if we do our job right is huge!

For more than 20 years, Jacksons has forged a close working relationship with FMs around New Zealand, going over and above to not only solve their issues with building services (HVAC: heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing and hydraulics) but to help educate and inform the industry on a topic that is a mystery for most.

When we get HVAC right, you’ll see a reduction in complaints, call outs to consultants and OPEX costs. It also results in enhanced tenant happiness and reduces tenant churn (and hopefully makes your building more desirable to lease), as well as making buildings run more efficiently, reducing running costs.

We’re not saying this to brag, but because sometimes we need to take a step back to remind ourselves of why we do what we do, why it matters, and the importance of doing it right. Being recognised by an external association like FMANZ really reminds us that we are on the right track!

To win this award in what has probably been the toughest year in our history makes it all the more special, so a huge thanks to everyone in our business (including their families), our suppliers and our customers who have supported us to achieve a great result in a very challenging environment. We are very grateful to be supported by so many of you, so thank you.
