In September, managing director Lance Jimmieson ran a three-day continuous commissioning training workshop with EMANZ. Over these three days, a dozen of the industry’s leading technical people – senior controls people and building services engineers – learnt how to undertake continuous commissioning, before undertaking a 3-hour exam to test their knowledge.
There are plans for another course to run next year, as well as a course on Energy Management for Facilities Managers. Keep an eye on the EMANZ website for date announcements at emanz.org.nz
Lance is happy to help in this area, as part of Jacksons Engineering’s drive to be an industry leader in improving the performance of existing buildings, in terms of operation, comfort and reducing energy consumption. As such, he has also been assisting NZGBC with the training of NABERSNZ interns.
