Manapouri powerstation ventilation upgrade and refurbishment

In 1994 Jackson’s Otago & Southland Branch Manager Howard Healey prepared a report on the underground powerhouse ventilation systems for the powerstation’s then-owner ECNZ. In 2010, current owner Meridian Energy engaged Healey to provide a condition assessment of station’s ventilation systems as part of the powerstation’s half-life upgrade (it was built in 1971).

We were initially asked review the refrigeration tenders Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Ltd had received for their build of a cold-storage and warehousing facility near Auckland Airport. Our role mushroomed from there.

Rabobank Tower, Auckland CBD

We were asked to work with STACK Interiors to progressively upgrade the 12-storey building, floor by floor. This building comprises of 11 levels of office space and a ground level with a café, reception and waiting area.

Air New Zealand headquarters

We were asked to improve tenant comfort and energy use of the 6-year-old HVAC system at the Air NZ headquarters in Auckland. The HVAC system was inefficient, making areas of the building too hot, too cold, stuffy or draughty.
